CLEETHORPES' Pleasure Island theme park has closed.
Staff turned up for work this morning and were given letters terminating their employment and assuring them that they would be paid up until today.
Visitors - some of whom had travelled from out of the area - were turned away at the gate.
No reason has yet been given for the closure. |

It's always bad news when a park closes, but Pleasure Island was pants. 
So who's going to buy the Boomerang then? |

| This is to do with a buy out issue and contract problems, which the park are unsure of when the issue will be resolved, but they hope to re-open it as soon as possible. |

The park will be re-open on this Saturday May 1st  |
