I just can't miss England so i will return 24 October.

I will visit the following parks:
Pleasurewood, Botton's pleausre beach, pleasure island, fantasy island, flamingoland.
On my first day I will also visit the 2 small parks in Great Yarmouth. (the wooden looks like fun Smile)

If anyone has tips about Botton that would be great because i can't find opening times anywhere.

Later this year me and my brother are going to Birmingham to watch the musical 'les miserables' with John Owen Jones (yes, he's a fan Smile). And i'm going to force him to visit 1-2 themeparks and watch a premier league game.
Can anyone recommend me a park near Birmingham?
Thanks in advance.

Alton Towers and Drayton Manor are the closest 'big' theme parks to Birmingham. Cool

Thanks, Thorpe is a possibillity.
Alton Towers seems the best themepark in Europe (together with Europa Park) but i guess the new coaster won't be running yet.
It would be a shame to visit Alton and miss the new ride Smile.

^ I'd say Alton's lost what made it special it terms of competing with really awesome european parks like Port Aventura, still well worth a visit though.

I just can't miss England so i'm planning a 2day trip to London next week.
We will visi Harrod's, a musical, something else and a themepark. As my brother takes pictures i'm doing the attraction on my own (bit sad i know). Is Thorpe a good park or are there any good parks nearby London which have a single riders line. I've read that thorpe uses it for some attractions but couldn't find much info where they are situated Smile.

Did you ever make it to Thorpe?

I never made it. A German thought it would be fun to drive on my lane and totalled my car. Due to that i didn't make it to London.

What is the best time to visit Alton? I have a lot of vacation this year (45 days). I would love to visit Alton when it's not too crowded and off course to ride their newest coaster. Nothing new and exciting in Belgium this year Sad

Anytime when it is not the school holidays is generally quiet.

Late April, mid-May would be your best bet.

Beginning of June should be fine.

It's only the last two weeks and early July when end-of-year school trips start to kick in.
