Paulton's needs our help. Here's a snippet our news from their web site:

“Edge” was opened for the start of the 2009 season and was the first ride of its type in the UK. In May 2009 our local Planning Authority reacted to a complaint from a neighbour located over 700 metres from “Edge” who contended that this ride makes a lot of noise, and screams could be heard at their property. We have proven, supported by acoustic surveys, that you cannot identify the noise coming from “Edge” over any of the other rides at the Park.

Having had our original application turned down by the Planning Committee of New Forest National Park Authority (NFNPA) in October 2009 by only a small majority of 7 votes to 5 we have now received an Enforcement Notice telling us to dismantle the ride.

We have now submitted a second planning application for Edge which differs from the original in that The Cobra ride has been excluded as permission for this was granted by NFNPA by a unanimous vote in December 2009. It also includes an assessment of other potential sites for the ride, concluding that the current location is the best place for the ride.

Paultons Park is recognised as operating as a Lawful Amusement Park by the NFNPA. This recognition allows us to place rides at the Park without the need for further planning permissions. However the piece of land that “Edge” sits on is just out of this recognised area as it has not been open to the public as part of Paultons Park for a period greater than 10 years.

With the application to keep “Edge” scheduled to be heard by the Planning Committee in the near future we would like to ask you as a visitor to the Park to support our application to retain ”Edge” in its current location.

I've shown my support for the ride. As have a lot of others on Theme Park Review and The Ride Factor. Very Happy

^^ Hahah lol.

Well if you 'save' it then you can go on it and judge if it makes you feel sick like the one at Flamingoland. Laughing

It really isn't as bad as you seem to think. It's much better than the half pipe ones.
